Papier Union lists Robuskin®
Karlstein, 12th November 2012. Papier Union, part of the Inapa group, has strengthened its assortment of synthetic printing substrates with Robuskin®. The printing film Robuskin® has been developed especially for use in harsh mechanical environments, and is extremely weather resistant. Consequently, the features of the printing substrate are very high tensile strength, heat resistance, dimensional stability and resistance against humidity, oil and fuels.
The features and benefits of Robuskin® were demonstrated to approx. 200 Papier Union customers at an Open House Event in the harness racing track in Hamburg at the end of September: Maintenance manuals, identity cards, tags and labels, road and sea maps, reports, charts and many other applications showcase Robuskin®.
Robuskin® is based on film substrates including PE, PP, XTP (an in-house development especially for digital toner- based printing), polyester and PVC, at gauges ranging from 50 to 400 µm. Functional coating layers enable Robuskin® to be printed like paper in all traditional printing systems (e.g. flexo or litho offset using conventional printing inks), as well as using digital toner- based printing equipment.
The wide range of stocked articles (20 articles in reels as well as in A4, A3 and SRA3 format) reflects this variety. Print advice and support is available at all times from in-house Papier Union experts, and also MDV personnel. Additional information can be found at www.papierunion.de or at www.mdv-group.com.
